Limo Schissler is a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. They are excited to serve as a graduate teaching assistant for the Marching Illini. Originally from Western Springs, IL, Limo earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Limo is advised by Dr. Larry Fahnestock and Dr. James LaFave.

Beyond engineering, Limo is a dedicated member of the music community at UIUC. They enjoyed seven years of membership in the Marching Illini trumpet section, including two seasons as Marching Section Leader. They have also performed with a wide variety of ensembles in the School of Music, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, Men’s and Women’s Basketball Bands, Volleyball Band, Jazz Combo, Jazz Big Bands, and Concert Bands. Limo studies trumpet with Professor Charles Daval.

Limo loves the energetic, passionate, and welcoming spirit of the Marching Illini and is thrilled to serve on the graduate staff. I-L-L!
